Finishes KANEE stainless steel door Handle is available in Polished Stainless Steel (PSS), Satin Stainless Steel (SSS) and Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) Antique Brass (AB) available upon request. See individual product pages for availability. What is PVD: PVD stands for physical vapour deposition which is a manufacturing process that creates a very durable film and is commonly used for bathroom fixtures and architectural ironmongery which needs to be highly tarnish resistant. 

The process involves the deposition of zirconium nitride, titanium nitride, or other metallic ion combinations under low vacuum conditions to in effect seal and preserve the finish, 

The PVD process provides an extremely hard wearing finish even though the coating is only 0.5microns thick to resist scratches, wear, discolouration and corrosion. In addition to this PVD finishes provide outstanding resistance to household cleaners and environmental factors. 

The major benefit of PVD is that the original appearance is retained far into the future. Over time PVD will outlast traditional decorative finishes such as coloured lacquers and metal electroplated finishes.
